TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The services offered by the Pass are presented in detail on the www.pass.be website.

APPLICATION OF THE GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Agreements between parties are entirely and exclusively governed by these general terms and conditions and by any specific conditions agreed with the customer, notwithstanding any provisions to the contrary in any documents issued by the customer.

PRICES

Individual prices

Children 5 and under: free
Ages 6 to 18: 10 euros
Adults aged more than 18 : 15 euros
Disabled adults: 9.50 euros
Disabled children (ages 6 to 18): 7 euros

School prices

By "school group", the Pass means a group consisting of pupils supervised by teachers visiting the Pass on a weekday during Belgian school terms. Outside Belgian school terms, the Pass will supervise school parties subject to staff availability. If the school option cannot be offered, it will be replaced by the "youth group" option.


Day at the Pass and Seasonal Events

Price: 7.50 euros per pupil.
Tickets for teachers and supervisors are free of charge, and there must be at least one supervisor for each activity subgroup.


One-day projects

“TelePass” for S1>S6: 25 euros per pupil (min. 12 pupils, max. 20 pupils). Accompanying adults free of charge (max. 2 per group).

Youth prices

By "youth group", the Pass means a group consisting of young people who belong to a structured organisation (e.g. play centres, youth centres, scout groups, etc.).
Maximum age of the youngsters: 18 years old.
Price:
Entry: 7 euros per child. 
Entry free of charge for accompanying adults. Activities and tours organised for ages 4+ on request: 40 euros per activity.
There must be at least one supervisor for each activity subgroup.

Group prices

By "group", the Pass means a group consisting of seniors, adults or a mixture (seniors, adults, children) who belong to a structured organisation, including at least 20 people.
The price is:
10 euros per adult
8 euros per child aged 6 to 18 
Under 6: free 
(one supervisor free of charge per group of 20 paying visitors).
Activities and guided visits are available when booked in advance at a rate of 40 euros per activity.

Special rates

The Pass offers special conditions for certain categories of visitor. Details are available at the www.pass.be website.

Birthday prices

The price is:
15 euros per participant for a minimum of seven children (activity and cake included).
Free for the birthday child.  
2 adults free of charge: one accompanying adult is essential and a second adult is strongly recommended.
Activity for ages 4+

Season tickets

Season tickets can only be used for individual visits.
Price for a child season ticket (age 6 to 18): 15 euros
Price for an adult (age over 18) season ticket: 25 euros
Price for a family season ticket (maximum 2 adults and 3 children living at the same address):  90 euros.
Season tickets cannot be used when ticket holders are part of a group.


BOOKINGS

How and when must bookings be made?

Prior booking is required for special services in addition to entry to the park, such as meals or supervision (activities, guided visits, etc.).

Bookings can be made by telephone (+ 32 (0)65 61 21 60), fax (065/61 21 99), email (pass@pass.be) or post (rue de Mons, 3, 7080 Frameries)

As soon as a booking is received, the Pass will create a visit option. A confirmation form is sent to the customer.

After receipt of this form, you have 15 calendar days to either confirm the option or cancel your booking request.

 

This document must be completed, signed and returned to the Pass by fax or post to confirm the option. If no confirmation is received within 15 days of the booking, the Pass reserves the right to cancel the option.

Bookings can be made less than 15 days before the visit but are subject to availability at the Pass.

Requests for these extra services are accepted subject to capacity at the Pass.

 

Booking an activity

Activity times are confirmed on the group's arrival on the day of the visit. If the group arrives late at the meeting point, the Pass is under no obligation to reschedule the activity.
If the number of participants is lower than the number confirmed, the Pass reserves the right to adapt the activity programme that was booked.
If the number of participants is higher than the number confirmed, the Pass cannot guarantee supervision of the extra participants.

Meals

There is a cafeteria open to customers, and meals are paid for on site.
The number of meals booked must be provided in writing at least seven working days before the date of the visit.

Booking a tourist package

When a tourist package is booked with one of our partners, the terms and conditions that apply are those of the site through which the booking was made.

CANCELLATIONS

Bookings can be made by telephone (+ 32 (0)65 61 21 60), fax (065/61 21 99), email (pass@pass.be) or post (rue deMons, 3, 7080 Frameries)

As soon as a booking is received, the Pass will create a visit option. A confirmation form is sent to the customer.

After receipt of this form, you have 15 calendar days to either confirm the option or cancel your booking request.

 

The Pass must be informed of cancellations at least 14 days before the date of the visit. Cancellations must be made in writing (letter, fax, email), and the date of postage or of the fax or email will be taken as the notification date.

 

After receipt of the signed and approved booking form 14 calendar days after the option date, the Pass will issue an invoice for €20 to cover administrative costs if you cancel your visit.

After receipt of the signed and approved booking form 14 calendar days after the option date, the Pass will issue an invoice for 30% of the value of the visit, plus €20 to cover administrative costs if you cancel in the 15 days prior to your visit.

 

If people with bookings do not turn up on the date of the visit, the Pass will be entitled to invoice 70% of the cost of the visit plus 20 euros in administrative costs.

The Pass reserves the right to decide whether exceptional circumstances justify waiving these cancellation costs.


PAYMENT TERMS

Invoice payments

Our invoices are payable immediately to our head office. Without affecting any subsequent claim for damages and interest, any sums remaining unpaid on their due dates will be subject without notice to a fixed penalty of 15% (minimum 40 euros) in damages and interest in accordance with article 1152 of the Belgian civil code, together with late payment interest at a rate of 1% per month.
Payments can be made to the ING bank account number IBAN : BELFIUS N° BE44 0682 2094 8445 – BIC/SWIFT : GKCCBEBB  (use the transfer form attached to the invoice).

 

Paying at the ticket desk

The group leader will pay at the ticket desk for the entry tickets and activities that have been booked. Payment methods accepted: cash, debit cards (Bancontact, Proton, Maestro) and credit cards (Visa, MasterCard). Only one payment can be accepted for each group. Schools are invited to collect the money from each class before arriving at the ticket desk. 
In case of payment by check, bank charges are borne by the customer.

 

Paying for birthday bookings

A deposit of 90 euros, to cover 7 children and one accompanying adult, must be paid seven days before the date booked for the birthday event. 
This deposit will under no circumstances be refunded by the Pass.
If the reservation has been made for more than 7 children and there are fewer participants than confirmed at the time of booking, please notify the Pass at least three working days before the date of the visit. 
If the Pass is not notified at least three working days in advance that there will be fewer participants than originally anticipated, a charge of 4 euros (inc. VAT) will be made to cover the cost of the cake ordered for each no-show. This will apply from the 8th participant (the cost of 7 participants is covered by the mandatory deposit). If the number of participants is higher than the number confirmed, the Pass cannot guarantee supervision of the extra participants.


Paying for a tourist package

When a tourist package is booked, payment is made to the site handling the booking and issuing the booking confirmation. This payment includes the package amount but excludes catering services, which will be paid for directly to the site providing them.

 

 

LIABILITY

 

THE PASS closes its doors at 4:00PM during school term and 6:00PM at weekends and during school holidays (except Christmas holidays when the Pass is closed). All visitors must leave the premises at closing time at the very latest. If certain visitors, contrary to their obligation, remain on the premises without express, written authorisation from the PASS, the PASS cannot be held liable for anything whatsoever in the case of damages caused after closing time, including in the event of malfunctioning equipment located on the site. Any persons remaining on site after closing time and who are in violation of their obligation to leave the site accept full responsibility and shall not hold the PASS liable for any consequences connected to the closing of the site and the absence of any supervision.

TERMS OF USE - E-TICKET

E-tickets are governed by the terms and conditions of sale of The Pass, Parc d'aventures scientifiques, a limited liability cooperative company with a social purpose (SCRLFS), located at 3 Rue de Mons, 7080, Frameries (company number 0462 311 896, VAT BE 462 311 896), e-mail: pass@pass.beand by the following special terms and conditions, to which you agreed prior to purchase of the e-ticket:

Printing and using your e-ticket

The Pass entrance tickets are only valid if they are printed on a sheet of white A4 paper, blank on both the front and the back. Entrance to The Pass is subject to the validity of your ticket being checked. Tickets are only valid on the date and under the conditions shown on the ticket. Good quality printing is necessary. Partially printed, dirty, damaged or illegible tickets will not be accepted and will be considered as invalid. If a printing problem occurs or print quality is poor, you must print your PDF or JPG file again. To check the printing quality, make sure that the information written on the ticket, as well as the bar code, are clearly legible. Parking is free of charge. Access to the day's activities cannot be guaranteed on busy days. This ticket is personal and cannot be resold. At the time tickets are inspected, you must be in possession of an official photo identity document that is currently valid. The bearer of this ticket agrees to maintain an appropriate dress code at all times and comply with the code of conduct. The Pass accepts no liability for any problems that may occur at the time the order is placed, during processing or printing of your "The Pass" ticket, or as a result of negligence in the event of loss, theft or unauthorised use of the ticket. In the event of non-compliance with all the rules specified above, this ticket will be considered to be invalid.

In order to purchase your e-ticket, you must select a specific date on which you intend to use your ticket. This date is clearly indicated on your e-ticket. Your e-ticket cannot be used on any date other than the date you selected when purchasing your e-ticket online. When making your purchase, you may not select a date on which the Pass is closed (see the calendar for opening dates). You may purchase your ticket up to the day prior to the selected validity date.

 

Delivery of your e-ticket

Your e-ticket will be sent to you by e-mail only, free of charge. E-tickets cannot be posted. It is therefore essential that you have access to a working printer before making your purchase. Your e-ticket will be issued once payment has been made. If you have not received your e-ticket by e-mail within 24 hours of purchase, please check your spam folder and ensure that your inbox is not full.Your e-ticket is also available in your space "personal account" on the website www.pass.be. If the problem persists, please call us on + 32 (0)65 61 21 60. We will endeavour to resolve the matter as quickly as possible.

 

Prices

E-tickets are available for adults (more than 18 years), and children (aged 6 to 18). E-tickets are charged at the prices indicated in our terms and conditions of sale (below). The Pass reserves the right to apply promotional rates to e-ticket purchases at any time during the year and for a duration of its choosing. The promotional rate will be clearly indicated in the "online tickets" section of the website.

E-tickets cannot be purchased for group visits (which are subject to special reservation and supervision arrangements).

 

Invoice

If you would like to receive an invoice, send an e-mail to comptabilite@pass.be. Our accounts department will send you an invoice, by post or e-mail, as soon as possible.

 

Full cancelling your purchase

Pursuant to  the Belgian law Economic Law code, you have 14 calendar days from the day following your e-ticket purchase to cancel your order. If you wish to cancel your order, you must do through the withdrawal form avalaible on the web site of the Pass - www.pass.be or by post to the following address: The Pass, 3 Rue de Mons, 7080, Frameries, within 14 calendar days of the day after your online purchase. When cancelling your order, please include the following information: the purchase date, the name of the person who purchased the e-ticket(s), your e-mail address and your bank account number (in IBAN format). You will be required to sign your request and attach a scanned copy of your photo identity document. Your order will be refunded within 30 calendar days of receipt of the cancellation request, to the bank account from which the original payment was made.

You will not be entitled to cancel your order if the e-tickets concerned have already been used, and you have already visited the Pass using the e-tickets concerned prior to submitting your cancellation request (i.e. within 14 calendar days of the day following your e-ticket purchase).

Once this 14-day deadline has passed, you will be unable to cancel, exchange or seek a refund for your e-ticket, including where all or part of the facilities at the Pass are unavailable, due in particular to inclement weather or technical faults.

How we use your personal data

Payments are processed by Ogone, a company that offers online payment processing solutions to the e-commerce and mail and telephone order sectors. Ogone acts as the intermediary between purchasers, banks, merchants and consumers and processes their online payments. Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the judicial district of Mons.

The Parc d’Aventures Scientifiques can under no circumstances be held liable for any damage of any kind resulting from inability to use or access the information held on the server or for any loss due to this information, whatever the cause of the damage or loss. The Parc d’Aventures Scientifiques shall under no circumstances be held liable for any damage of any kind resulting from the interpretation and/or use of the information held on the server.

COPYRIGHT

The text and graphics, their presentation and their arrangement on the site, video and sound files and in general all documents contained on the site are the exclusive property of the Parc d’Aventures Scientifiques. They are intellectual works and are protected as such by the laws of all the countries of the world and by international treaties. The name “Le Parc d’Aventures Scientifiques – Le Pass” and its logo are protected trademarks.

LICENCE FOR USE

When you access this site or any of its parts, you are accepting a licence granted by the Parc d’Aventures Scientifiques, the conditions of which are defined below.

Article 1

This licence exclusively grants the following rights:
- a private, individual, personal and non-transmissible right of use covering the content of the site or any part thereof.
- a right of reproduction for storage, for the purpose of display on a single workstation, and of reproduction for a single back-up copy or printout.

Article 2

Any representation and/or reproduction, even partial, of the contents of the site and/or any parts thereof is strictly forbidden, and in particular:
- any use for commercial purposes,
- any use of any element of the site in a networked computing environment,
- copying the keywords used in the site's pages to reference another site, thus entering into competition with the Pass
- linking from an illicit site (racist, pornographic etc.) to the Pass site,
- using links to present a page from this site in a frame that does not belong to the Parc d’Aventures Scientifiques or to insert an image belonging to the Parc d’Aventures Scientifiques in a page that does not belong to the Parc d’Aventures Scientifiques.
