Everyone can learn
Arouse the desire to learn in a child, and any method will serve.
- J.-J. Rousseau, Emile, 1762.
Learning has become one of the major issues in our society. The individual has to operate in an environment which is ever more complex and continuously changing. Everyone's level of knowledge is perpetually evolving. It is no longer enough to be able to read, write and count in order to find, or construct, a place in society. To have any chance of succeeding in a world of knowledge specialisation, data explosion and information overload, we must learn to learn.
With the exhibition "A talent for learning", we aim at nothing less than showing that learning can be a pleasure for all, and an option open to all - just a question of curiosity, confidence, and, as Rousseau himself said, desire.
The exhibition offers an alphabet of 26 entertaining, educational and surprising experiments, showing that learning is a daily activity, practised by all ages in a variety of situations and in many ways.
In partnership with the Cité des Sciences et de l'Industrie in Paris.
