Test and touch
Objects and materials made to measure...
A plastic bucket, a glass bottle, a wooden toy, copper cables, a microfibre t-shirt, an aluminium drink can... Natural or synthetic, materials permeate our daily lives. They make up the objects of our world, they are essential for even the most banal of our tasks; they are omnipresent.
And yet we no longer pay them any attention.
Materials of the past are linked with periods of history (the stone age, the iron age, the bronze age). Now, materials are created on demand, to suit the way an object is used and the laws of the market. An entertaining, colourful exhibition offering children and their families a fun way to think about materials, their properties, their multiplicity ("hyperchoice"), their second life (recycling).
Use your senses to explore everyday objects, observing, experiencing and thinking about the way materials are used.
